What is Zeo?
We’re a start-up company with an exciting new product that goes by the same name. In short, Zeo tells you how you really sleep, and helps you find ways to improve your sleep. It’s composed of a lightweight wireless headband, a bedside display, a set of analytical online tools, and an email-based personalized coaching program. Learn more about Zeo here.

Why are you doing this sweepstakes?
Our mission is to improve peoples’ lives through the power of sleep. We’re interested in hearing what you think helps your sleep the most. Yes, we expect some interesting, unique and colorful responses, but we think this information, in aggregate, will be useful to all of you. After the sweepstakes concludes, we will compile, categorize and share the results so that you can see what others do to get a better nights’ sleep. When does this sweepstakes take place?
From Tuesday, Jan 5th at 5pm EST until Friday, Jan 15th at 5pm EST (10 days). Enter once per day to enter for that day’s prize, and to maximize your chances of winning the grand prize.

What are you giving away?
Grand Prize – x1 Sleep Vacation [$4,000 in flights and spending money]. Full explanation below.
Daily Prize – x10 Zeo Personal Sleep Coach plus Guided Coaching ($349) packages – one per day

Please explain the grand prize. Is it money? Only flights? What?
We will pay for x2 round-trip tickets for you and a friend up to $4,000 in value ($2,000 per ticket max). If your flight costs less than the maximum per ticket, we will contribute the balance towards the other costs of your trip. e.g. If your flights cost $1,000, we will pay any amount up to the remaining $3,000 towards your other trip costs. What is the daily prize?
The daily prize is a Zeo Personal Sleep Coach plus Guided Coaching ($349) package. In case you’re not sure what this is, click here for more information.

Is Zeo safe?
Yes. The entire product, including the headband, has been laboratory tested and complies with all standards for digital and wireless devices. More specifically, Zeo meets or exceeds US and international standards for safety including the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the European Commission (which oversees the CE mark) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

In order to meet these standards, Zeo was required to undergo a standard test for the human body’s absorption of radio waves emitted by the headband. The emission level was and is so low that the test was not able to be applied (in fact it is twenty-five times lower than the minimum level for the test). To put it another way, the Zeo Headband emits one one-thousandth the radio wave energy of a common cell phone.

How do I enter?

Include the following in a Tweet:
1.    “What helps you sleep at night?”
2.    A link to the Sweepstakes Landing Page (e.g. http://sweeps.myzeo.com)
3.    #ZQ

See the ‘how we are choosing winners’ FAQ below. Without all three of these elements, your tweet will not be considered as a sweepstakes entry.

Wait. Am I entering for the Daily Prize or the Grand Prize?
Each valid entry counts towards both the Daily Prize and the Grand Prize. Only one entry per day will be counted towards each Daily Prize Drawing, and the number of valid Daily Entries that you submitted (up to ten) will be counted towards the Grand Prize Drawing.

Can I enter if I’m a Zeo user already?
Of course. In fact, you’ll probably be more aware of the things that most affect your ZQ (sleep quality & quantity). It’s never too late to give the gift of sleep… After all, who doesn’t know someone else who has trouble sleeping?

Do I have to be a legal U.S. resident in order to enter?
Yes. While we have heard lots of interest from the international community, we currently only sell and support Zeo in the U.S.

What age do I need to be to enter?
18 or older as of January 5th, 2010. Zeo is designed to analyze and interpret the electrical signals naturally produced by an adult brain.

Will entering multiple times help my chances of winning?
Yes and no. If you enter on all 10 days, you will have a better chance at winning the grand prize. One entry cycle day runs from 5:00pm EST to 4:59pm EST the following day. Only your first entry per entry cycle will count (so be nice to your followers).

What time will you choose the winners each day?
Shortly after 5pm EST every day of the sweepstakes.

What if I enter after 5pm EST after the day’s winner has been chosen?
Any tweets sent in after 5pm EST with the requirements will be counted toward the following day’s entries. So one entry cycle day runs from 5:00pm EST to 4:59pm EST the following day.

How are you choosing the winners?
Here’s how we’re doing this, step-by-step:
1.    Scrape twitter for all #ZQ mentions
2.    Export them into a spreadsheet
3.    Isolate those mentions by entry cycle (5pm EST to 4:59pm EST the following day)
4.    Randomly select an entry
5.    Verify that it has all three components of a valid entry
6.    Verify that it is the first entry from that twitter user for the entry cycle
7.    Verify that you’re a legal US resident 18 years of age or older
8.    If steps 5, 6, or 7 do not check out, go back to step 4
9.    Announce the winner
10.    Ship you your prize!

Note: the grand prize will be randomly selected from all of the entries in a very similar fashion, with the exception of step 3. Instead, all of the #ZQ mentions will be isolated for the entire sweepstakes entry cycle (from Tuesday, Jan 5th at 5pm EST until Friday, Jan 15th at 5pm EST).

Where are you announcing the winners each day?
We will tweet out the winner from our official @Zeo twitter account around 5pm EST, and DM you if you are following us.

Do I have to follow @Zeo in order to win?
No, you don’t. If you do, though, we’ll DM you if you win so that you can’t miss it.

If I have a protected Twitter account, can I still enter the giveaway?
Unfortunately, if you have a protected account, we will not be able to see your tweet in the Twitter stream. As we are not able to easily follow everyone back, you can choose to make your account unprotected if you would like to be eligible for the giveaway.

Does the sweepstakes run on Saturdays and Sundays too?
Of course… we are a start-up! Weekends, weekdays…they all blend together. Just don’t expect any responses once our Power Down Hour begins…
